Cancelation Leopard Hunt With TSALA HUNTING SAFARIS Mozambique

Did you hunt leopard with Tsala in Zimbabwe or Mozambique?

I agree with your comment that Brandon and Rouan are as good as it gets! Those guys are awesome!
No I hunted in Zim with Tokoloshe. I will be hunting with Tsala in Moz in 2027 for my second chance at leopard

Waiting 2 years on a safari can seem forever, knowing you’ll be hunting leopard with these guys will make the wait a little easier!

I took my leopard way back in 1988 (when I had hair ) in the Omay area of Zim. I’m one of the lucky ones, on my first day of sitting in a leopard blind I got in the blind at 4:00pm, shot it at 4:45pm.

I wish you the best of luck when the time comes to head over to hunt with Tsala.

@TSALA HUNTING SAFARIS

How did these leopard hunts go last season in your Mozambique concession?

Did you do baited hunt's or were you able to do a hound hunt also?

Thank you

Good Day Sir

We only had one leopard hunt for 2025. Unfortunately due to various factors we did not connect with a leopard. There are good leopard signs in our area and we have had a few on trail cams at the bait sights.

How did your elephant and buffalo hunts go in Mozambique this year?

I really don't want to pour cold water on anyone's excitement about this hunt, but in all honesty I hunted there for 22 days in July and August for leopard, elephant and buffalo as target animals. I had a great hunt, the area is truly old Africa, an amazing place to be and see. I took a 56 lb elephant, a 61 ½ inch kudu and a 43 ½ inch buffalo and a large beautiful nyala and some other animals for bait. I never saw a shootable leopard and although we saw some leopard tracks, I can't say they were abundant . In 22 days we only had one small leopard on bait. This is an amazing place to hunt and good people to hunt with, but if leopard was my main animal, I would do some research and find some one who has a fantastic track record on leopard. Hope I didn't offend anyone, just sharing my experience and thoughts. I filed a hunt report when I got back if anyone is interested.

I know in no way are you criticizing @Tsala. However I hunted with Lou Hallamore with many people saying he is the best leopard man alive and did not even get a leopard on bait hunting hard for 15 days this year. Leopards are like no other of the Big 5 which is why I have saved him for last. I am booked on a leopard with @tsala in 27 in the same area you hunted and am very excited about it knowing just how awesome the family is!!! Wish me luck!

Yes, good luck too you!! and I am anxious to hear about your hunt. You are certainly right about leopard being so difficult to hunt.

Not trying to stir the pot but hunting with the “Best” Leopard Man alive in what is known to be a very marginal (at best) Leopard area isn’t going to change your odds of success much.

Just like if you took the best “Jumbo” elephant hunter and hunted that same area, you’re going to struggle to break 35lbs. What you’re looking for needs to be in that area. Not saying a blind squirrel doesn’t find a nut once in a while.

If you plan to do a dedicated Leopard Hunt or it’s your main focus, I’d rather hunt an exceptional Leopard area with a mediocre (or even poor) cat guy than a marginal area with the best cat guy. An abundance of Leopards, and an area with a proven track record of success on mature Tom’s is significantly more important than a PH with a bunch of experience on leopards. Drop an apprentice in the best cat area and you still have a great shot at getting a shooter on bait because there’s an abundance of them in the area.

Sir, I think I have been writing to you about the purchase of the HK 639 rifle under an email "Tt Jake." If this is you, then I am truly interested. I am just trying to verify identify. Tt Jake is asking for a cash transaction. No disrespect intended, Just trying to verify who I am talking to. Thank you. Respectfully. Dan

Hey my friend, I am returning to SA for a Cape Buffalo hunt in June 26. My outfitter has suggested Highveld but I have read some poor reports. Wondering how satisfied you were with your mounts from them? Thanks in advance.
Finally back to somewhat normal I missed reading the messages and posts
