Buffalo or plains game?

Buffalo bull next. I went on a buffalo hunt in 2025 with JKO Outfitters and shot a beautiful buffalo bull, but also a trophy sable (pictured in my avatar) and several game animals along the way. JKO all the way.

Take the proper cape buff bull hunt and go out for some of the small night predators instead of the PG on this trip. Your 9.3 will be fine just make sure of proper bullet placement on your first shot. 286 or 300 gr Aframes and go have a fantastic hunt.

I am leaning in this direction. I have 300 grain A frames in hand and am working up a good load. Of course, I need the outfitter/PH to agree with use of the 9.3x74r. I have no doubt it is adequate for the job.

Thanks for all of your input. I've thought it through and realized anything other than buffalo was going to leave me wishing I'd hunted buffalo. Let the planning begin!
