Broken Scope or Dirty Barrel

I can't help to think there is too much thought towards scope and rings. I was going to suggest the bedding, for I have had this problem with my Win. M70 .300WM in synthetic stock where the bedding came out with barrel/action removal. I just posted today on another thread. With the new bedding I would imagine the barrel is floated? You have syntetic or wood stock?

Are your bullets of the same lot? Gun problems can be a hair puller. Good luck

You actually bedded them or had them bedded? And I dont agree to truly get the most accurate load you start from the min and work up. Bedding changes the harmonics of the barrel waves therefore the point at which the bullet exits the barrel.

The gunsmith bedded the barrel. It was already bedded, but the material Winchester uses and the job they do aren't exacty top notch. The barrel was already floated from the factory and that was done fine. The smith kind of talked me into the target crown.

I agree with you concerning the harmonics. If you change what's in contact with the barrel it is likely going to change the amplitude and/or frequency of the vibrations.

Alot of animals have fallen to 2MOA guns! All bedding does is improve consistancy. You will have to start all over again in load development. or get a premium barrel.

Not going to do the premium barrel. I want this M70 Super Grade as is with factory barrel.

A good gunsmith can duplicate the factory conture whats your oposition?

Just wanting to keep it as original possible, I may be over doing that I'll admit.

Only Acurate rifles are interesting!

Every now and again a gun will not like a powder or a bullet. I worked on 26 loads for my 375 to shoot Partitions, 5 different powders. Flyers, poor group you it. Gave up started over with Swift A Frame life was good.

So I start over with something different. Maybe try some good factory ammo. PS try 3 different factory ammo on the 375 they sucked until I tried the Remington Safari with Swift.

Also 300 WSM has less case capacity than 300 win mag, have you tried 4350 instead of RL-25, 200 grain AB is a long bullet, I use them in my 300 RUM my old 300 win mag did not like them near as good as the 180. The group in windy condtions may be suspect. I try never to use as a baseline a one day group,

Heck give you a reason to load and shoot some more, good luck

4350 is pretty much the powder I always give a try to. I've got more loads in that powder than any other. My .375 gets along just fine with 300gr A-Frames and 78gr of 4350. But for this rifle with heavy loads, it does not appear to be the optimum powder. With the heavy loads, 26" barrel a slower powder would be prescribed and appears to be the better choice. RL25 and the AB's worked out, and at least for the time being the 7828 is working well with the very long 180gr TTSX's.

It worked on all 6 that I took with Louis, got back one from the Nyala, I use them all day with the 180's in 30 cal great bullet

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
