Black Bear action

Nothing like having them in your lap.

Never had them up my tree, but have had them shake my ladder stand, with me in it!

Great video! Cant get much closer than that! Monster bear as well.

Great Video Thanks for Sharing

That sure seems like an adrenaline filled hunt. If I was the videographer I think I would have had a pistol aimed at the bear instead of a camera!

I crapped myself watching it on the netbook. :o

Good black bear video. I got one last week and when they come into the bait they look really huge, what a rush. 075.jpg

I hunted in Maine. There they put out bait barrells and you can set in a ground blind or tree stand. I choose a ground blind. It was nice in the rain. The bear appeared at the bait on the third night of the hunt. I shot him with a 358 Browning Lever action at about 60yards. I used a 225 grain nosler handload at 2300 fps. I will have a rug made with a open mouth head in it. The average bear there is not that large but have really thick fur. I would guess he will square at four feet. Will make a nice wall rug. That week seven bear were shot out of eight hunters. The guy who did not get a bear turned down a small one and missed another. There must be a pile of bear in Northern Maine.

thanks mate
northern maine sounds like a bear haven

Hi PaulB. Would you be interested in another WJ Jeffery .450/.400 NE 3". It's an extractor model and in superb condition, cased as well. Made in 1908. The rifle is here in Texas.
