Binocs for African Plains Game hunting?

Wow... just... wow.

That cost more than the ten animals on my first trip to Africa.

Rich husband buys them to seemingly impress others in hunting camp. Rich husband dies of sudden cardiac arrest after returning home and wife sells hideous bino carriers at garage sale for $3 bucks.

If the tables were turned and she had bought the LV Binos, then died of cardiac arrest...I would have at least gotten an R8 out of the deal. ;) Probably a two Selous barrel professional hunter set with a Blaser Pelican case!

Well, for those looking for stylish method to carry your binoculars, saw this at a store this past weekend.

When I called to purchase a pair I was disappointed. apparently that is a purse. Not binoculars.

I thought they would go nicely with my LV glasses.

ZEISS 10X32’s they worked perfectly for me both on the hunt and during the photo safari for 2 days in Etosha and also the tour through Damaraland to the Skeleton Coast.

I took mine….Meopta Meostar 10x42 B1

Sometimes I took them, sometimes I didnt, also good for viewing game around camp. I didn’t take them for the buff, but used them for the Kudu and other plains game (but not all)

Worth taking in my view…..sitting at Africa Sky now…..making the trek home :(

Just add mine are in an Alaskan Guide Creations harness….the smallest that fit my model

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.
