BAR discussion

Never had a BAR but always admired them. I would really like to find a BPR in 270 or 30-06. Very similar shape to the BAR.

Back in the day before the Howard government banned semi-autos, there were several BARs converted to 458 Win Mag for sambar hunting. I never had the opportunity to try one, but it sounded like a good rig for the type of short range snap shooting required.

I just saw a 458 on GB last night, I had no idea they were made in that cartridge. Sounds like fun but not for $8k
