Anyone recall the show Simon & Simon - the older brother always had a new gadget. Well, that's me.

I recently replaced a scope with a Swarovski 2.4x12 BT. The BT part is a three ring ballistic turret. I happened across a company in Canada that replaces those rings with a single laser etched ring calibrated to your specific load https://ballistix.ca/

I sent the info about my hand loads and voila. I think it is esthetically more pleasing on the scope compared to the three rings. I am not a long range shooter so it's about all I need out to 400 yards.

2.4x12 BT.
FYI the scope is actually 2.4-12 ×50 4W BT . The 4W reticle is a #4 with 2 moa windage marks. It's still a very clean and open reticle.

What caliber rifle does this scope sit on, and what load goes with the turret? Looks like a 180 gr projectile so my guess is a 308 Norma Mag!
Yep! The CEB 180gr Maximus bullet. I have come to realize that any inaccuracies are probably user error. I would like to get some training to see what I can do with this rifle setup and load. Some day perhaps.

Looks great I’m thinking of picking up a z5 for my 300 win looks like a simple easy solution
One caveat is that it only attaches to the BT versions of the z5 scope.

Gadgets are fun! The trouble with custom turrets is that, well they are custom. They are set to one load and one altitude. For what you mention hunting to 400yd it makes little difference in many cases. For better accuracy you could go with something like I am using. I have Swaro scopes but I don’t use the colored rings. With the newest Swaro binos combined with their app I get real time reading for the conditions and that give the the exact clicks to dial.

At Kalahari Safari, the Small Things Are the Big Things
The thrill of the stalk. The stillness of the wait. The age-old rhythm of the hunt.
It’s not just about the size of the trophy. It’s about the stories that will be told for years.
We believe the memories are the true prize. The small things are the big things.
And we’re proud to offer a hunting experience that honours exactly that.

Not sure your price range. Have a 375 H&H with a muzzle brake. Nice rifle only fired a few times. Also a Mossberg 375 Ruger its been used and shows a few hunts on it.
Two African Safaris Hunted South Africa both times,
