Yes! my pals...
I start the new year in the best way! HUNTING...
After several hunting partys with bad luck, yesterday I turn the tide!...
In a ranch near my home, the wild boars are plenty, and fat (just I like....) and after a night without disturbing the paths, because the wind are in the wrong side, at 4:00 hs I went to the road and sit in the middle of the paths... Near the 5:15 a noise of dry grass beating alerts me... THEY ARE APROACHING....
After the first boar appears in the clean road, I have only a few seconds to make the shot... The 7,65 mauser was effective one more time, the shot in the neck at 80 meters do the job!(n)

Very well done Marcos.....good start, stay in the way......!!!!!

Bonito !

Good shooting sir!

Thank you, guys!
I´m really very very proud of my equipment! Very cheap, but very effective also....
The "old warrior" mauser with a vintage scope are a lethal hunting machine and the self reloading bullets make the difference! The shots are the producto of the equation plus the trained shooter! My life rides in a little town near the open country, and every day may be a chance to hunt something...
There is a VIDEO too, but in spanish and verylaughly if you understand the language... if you prefer, i can hang it in the post!:)

Marcos,

Congratulations on your successful hunt. You should be very proud of your equipment as it obviously works well. Hunting isn't so much about whether your equipment is cheap or expensive, it's about how well you can use it. You certainly have shown that you can use your "old warrior" Mauser and vintage scope very well.

Again, congratulations!

Oye, Marcos...........................I May be in Argentina in May...................gustaria cazar a ciervos rojo, sobre todo................................any suggestions? I like your posts, by the way. Your love of the hunt shines through.......................FW Bill

Bill... it will be an HONOR to help you with the red stag (ciervo colorado) but here, were i live, it´s a very hard target! There are few, vary few red stags and in a little ammount of coutrysides, with a very stupid owners who close the ranchs for everywhere to hunt!
It´s a shame...
The wild boar is different!
in any case, "rocket" can help you! It´s a great guide of ciervo colorado!...
I sorry to say it to you, but .... May isnt the best month to hunt the red stag here... Anyway, contact with "rocket", and, when you come to Argentina, any thing you need, count on me

Phil... its an average size of boar here! Very fat, i must say! hahaha
spike.t.... yes it is!!! THE BEST WAY TO START THE YEAR!!!
Yesterday, a friend of Buenos Aires come to my home, to visit me, and we go to the pigs!
He never shot a pig in his life! And I fix it... hahaha... With a Mossberg .308 and my help, he shot down two beautiful boars! And my "star" 45 ACP sink another pig!

Thanks...........I am willing to travel anywhere in Argentina, so no problem with that. May is the only time I can hunt, so maybe it would be better to hunt birds instead? .....I will give it some thought.........FW Bill

Well, sir, I am mighty impressed with the quality of the shell cordovan belt. I have several pairs of shoes that are shell cordovan, but had balked at paying over half that price for just a belt. Wouldn't be surprised if this belt doesn't last the rest of my life--for its color application. It sure is a universe removed from the cheaply constructed yet expensive stuff being put out there. Worth the price I paid.
