Wanting to see if there is an interest here to buy S&W 44'S. Let me know what you'd consider.

What model/s?

Keeping an eye out for an older Model 29. I know you said backup in the title, figured I’d ask.

The 329 PD is pretty hard to beat in a packing gun, light and accurate!

2.75" or 4.25" ?

If it were me, probably go 4". (Not really a concealed carry option so why not have a extra oomph and sight radius?)

Scrummy

Got one 329pd had one for years and use it . Before had a 4” 44 Anaconda the 329 is a great choice as because of the weight you always have it with you.
The 4” model is the better choice IMO.
By the way if you carry open a MERRNICKLE cross draw holster has served me well

I've read it was intended to carry, not for volume shooting.

Not sure your price range. Have a 375 H&H with a muzzle brake. Nice rifle only fired a few times. Also a Mossberg 375 Ruger its been used and shows a few hunts on it.
Two African Safaris Hunted South Africa both times,
9 game animals taken
Has anybody hunted with Phumba safari in steenbokpan south Africa?
