Anti-Hunter Attack

There should have been and be a Forrest officer unit in Europe as the hunters use little legal protection against ara . Some Ara groups look upon themselves as « police or wardens « and not as the Adolph worshippers they are .

I wonder if this group is connected to Britain as the reach is far and borders close . And question is who stalked him in the time before this , maybe a AirTag on his car could be placed there .

I think that hunting weapons should be bought completely freely, with the seller making the papers to whom he sold them. It would be desirable if he could check the customer's record, whether he has a mental illness or has been convicted of criminal acts. Also, carrying weapons should not be allowed for everyone. I think then the crime rate would decrease. Criminals all carry weapons and ask no one.
You think that carrying weapons should not be allowed for all, but then admit that the criminals don't pay any attention to the law? I think that.lost something in the translation.

Dear Dug,nothing was lost in translation. As a man who firmly advocates for respect for law and justice, as well as democratic principles, I believe that everyone should have the right to self-defense. Not only self-defense, but also to defend the weaker, but fairer. I did not put weapons in the context of force that will harm others, but as a means to uphold justice and the law in a situation when people without morality and respect start doing their own thing. You probably did not interpret my previous message correctly, I clearly wrote that the seller should have access to the buyer's personal documents that will represent his true identity. Anyone who is or has been involved in crime, or misuses weapons in any way, should not have the right to buy. That's what I wanted to say in my previous message, and I'm saying it now

My experiences hunting in Belgium, is that it is not that much more anti-hunting than most of its neighbours. It is just a tiny country, very built-up and therefore with much more limited hunting opportunities, making the hunting community smaller than in most neighbouring countries.

This awful attack could probably have happened anywhere in the EU. Although self defence rights, being very weak here, probably makes it more attractive for criminals to try something. They will likely get away with it.

As @DieJager has experienced, I too have been the focus of aggression during small game hunts, where we basically cannot react. Just put the guns away and call it a day. Despite the colourful language thrown at my fellow hunters and myself. The threats issued towards my direct family stung particularly, but we can only remain deaf and call the police.

At other times, seeing your high seat destroyed for the third time in a season, especially when discovering this only after you drove 3hrs away from home is quite frustrating.

Luckily the hunting fraternity, although small, is quite enjoyable. And every person I can enlighten on sustainable hunting and conservation usually takes the time to listen.

I hope he will get better soon, and will be back out soon (May roe buck season is approaching) As a member of the organisation he presides, I believe the anti-hunting messages will only get less support from the public.

I think we're in agreement. The point I was making though is that, at least in the US, is that it is illegal for any felon or mentally deficient individual to buy, possess or even be in the same room with a firearm. Yet they always seem to have them. Criminals, by definition, do not obey the law. They get guns, often stolen guns, through illegal means. Europe often works the same way. I met a German guy some years ago that had bought a gun for his father while the son was here visiting. He told me that buying a firearm legally in Germany was very difficult but, "you can buy one on almost any street corner." I didn't ask him how he was going to get the new gun home and through customs, etc. In Germany. Now, as an alien, he wouldn't be able to buy a gun here, but it was legal at the time.

I think the USA is an example of the right attitude towards weapons. When I was asked as a little boy where I would like to live, I would say the USA. If they asked me why, I would say because I can buy weapons whenever I want without anyone's approval :)

I don't have any weapons. I have rifles, shotguns amd handguns, both smokeless anf black powder. I also have archery equipment and a sword collection. Wespons no, guns and stuff, yes.

Carried by 6, or judged by 12. Your choice.

I like your thinking. I hope it never comes to that, but if it does, you might want to consider the three SSS's.

I spent 34 of my working years as a peace officer, both police and corrections. The conservative party has promised to bring Castle Doctrin into law here, just as Alberta's Priemier has stated to ctominals, "if you don't want tomorrow be shot, do not do break into someone's home in Alberta."
She's quite a gal. Of course the protectors of criminals, the liberals have convultions with this talk.

Let's hope the Conservative party wins on this. Why do.Liberaks think that the life of a criminal is worth as much as that of their victim? Self defence is the.most basic human right there is.

By the way, thanks for your service as a peace officer.

IMHO, the "left" want as many criminals "loose" on the street as possible. They will go to lengths to "create" criminals. Prohibiting guns that people have previously bought and owned legally, creats a newer level of criminals. At some point the general population will demand the government take control to stop the crime. This results in MARTIAL law. Once it's in over the entire country, it never leaves. That results in communism, seems to me, in perfect step with the globalists of the UN and the WEF.

You could well.be right. In the liberal states, violent criminals seem to face little time, while otherwise law abiding people are punished for a self defence incident or even possession of a weapon that has been deemed illegal even if it hasn't been misused.

Sure seems like the way it goes

Any word on the investigation into this crime or is it being totally ignored by the authorities?

We also have a law in the US that a legally conducted hunt cannot be disrupted! No horn blowers or drum beaters allowed. Those laws should be expanded to other places and strengthened IMO.

That's true, but it still happens and it seems to be hard to enforce. If wardens spent more time enforcing these laws instead of pinching some old guy that made the mistake of putting the detachable magazine back into his otherwise unloaded rifle before he leaned it against the truck tire, they.might get a little more assistance from hunters and fishermen. I actually saw that happen when the old guy, his granddaughter and I all came out of a hunting property at the same time. That was the first year that the law went into effect that stated a loaded magazine in contact with a rifle or shotgun was considered to be a loaded firearm and placing a gun on or against the outside of a vehicle was the same as having it inside the vehicle. I thought a warning and education would have been more appropriate than citing the guy in front of his 13 year old granddaughter.

I.have and will continue to report poachers when I see the activity, but it's clear to me that many wardens see all hunters in an adversarial position, and many hunters regard wardens in the same light.
