Animal wish list

I think it is best to give your outfitter an idea of the trophies you want to hunt. His areas may not hold all of the species you are looking for, so be careful who you book with. Overall, bowhunting is an opportunity driven past-time, so be prepared to make quick decisions about your trophy harvest. If your outfitter says that the animal is a wopper then don't hesitate. They are usually a very good judge of trophy quality, but always give you the option. I've never heard one say "Shoot" on any of my 7 safaris. It is usually "take him if you wish". That way the animal is entirely yours. Discuss this issue before you begin your hunt. Best of luck!

Ken has Good advice here^^^^^^. Iv'e heard a PH say to me "Oh you are going to regret passing that one up"... Luckily, I passed it up, only so my Dad could hunt it. He ended up getting it, a Monster Cape Kudu.

Most of my hunts are solo — just me, my rifle, and a good map. Sometimes I tag along with an old buddy for a week in Zimbabwe or South Africa, but more often than not, it’s just me.
Big fan of classic hunting — bolt-action rifles, old-school tracking, and taking the time to really be in the moment.
