looking for any advise / suggestions on solar chargers.
Never used one but am thinking I'll need one for Greenland!

I have a small tri-fold NetZero. It’s about the size of a small tablet folded. I use it to charge a backup battery all day in camp then recharge anything low when I get back. Usually no cell service anyway so just for cameras and a Garmin.

I used a small one last time in Alaska. I noticed the two guides in camp both had a much larger panel size. I didn't think it mattered until it got cloudy, theirs still functioned (with less output), mine was worthless.

I use a older now Goal Zero with Guide 10plus battery pak, has Nomad 7Watt panel, small & compact, I use this in the Wilds of Africa & Australia, where there has been lots of Sun been fantastic & I see lots of people wanting to use mine when all there phones are flat lol

Seems losing a phone nowadays is like losing a Hand ?

Well, maybe not losing a hand, but for many that phone is their camera as well. Also useful for GPS units or anything else.

I took a solar panel to Greenland and a really good battery. The panel didn't charge much, but that plus my battery and I never ran out of juice and neither did my electronics (video camera, drone, other people's devices). I would have rather opted for a larger panel though if I was bringing a full time camera person or was going to do more video shooting that I did.

This is the battery bank I got and would buy that one again in a heartbeat. Best performance and size I could find that I can take on a plane.

This is the panel I used there and it held up against the weather well. The sun is low in the sky so it doesn't generate much juice, but there are a lot of hours of daylight to help. A bigger panel would have been better, I think, but this one plus the battery above did well enough.

I’ve had this one for probably 15 years or so and used it twice. Worked quite well as I recall. Intention was to use it more while motorcycle camping in remote locations.

I’d sell it to you for the price of USPS shipping. Send me a DM with your info if you’re interested.

I need to know if this is legit. Photo with today's paper would do it.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.
