Most of the pics of the Outfitter headquarters on here look like resorts. Let's just say you are on a 30 day safari, Buff, Leopard, plains. What would you say the average number of nights are spent at HQ and how many in "the bush." This is assuming it is a reputable outfit with considerable land.

Leopard at nite…in a blind. The rest of the time at the Lodge..you travel by Bakkie, not by a sting of 100 natives carrying the supplies for thirty days on their head as noted in the1930 Tarzan movies. The tent bush camps can be very comfortable in Moz and Zimbabwe, for the evening retreat. 30 day safari is not the norm and available for a few with very deep resources.

Very nice bush camp, Ernest.

Your question makes sense with respect to South Africa and some of Namibia. A dangerous game hunt in the Caprivi, Zim, Mozambique, Zambia, or Tanzania will be conducted in the bush. Normally, usually, most of the time, there is no "lodge." "Headquarters" is the hut or tent where the fire pit is located and supper is served.

Many South African destinations do indeed try to recreate that experience - with WiFi and commercial power of course.

There is a lot of real Africa if you look for it.

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
