Well…. A 3D Elk anyway….

I know this isn’t bow hunting related, but I just thought I’d share the three shot group I shot at a long range 3D competition this weekend. This was at 92 yards. It was the luckiest three shots of my life!

Well done!!!

Way better than my 92 yard grouping!

The arrows look nice and flat too, what velocity are you getting?

That set up is doing 302 fps. It’s way better than my usual grouping as well! lol! I had no thoughts of even getting close to winning that. The little sticker in the middle of the 12 ring is what we all were shooting at. The closest to the sticker won the money. My first shot hit the sticker. I almost quit shooting then, but I’m glad I went ahead and sent the other two. That way it didn’t look like a lucky shot. :ROFLMAO:

Thats better than most of my 40 yard groups... well done Toby!

Great shooting

I know people that can't get groups from a rifle that good at 92 yards. Well done.

Toby, I've done a little bow shooting in my time, won a number of tournaments and set a few state records. But I've never seen or done anything close to shooting that tight of a group at 92 yards. What kind of bow and arrow rest were you using?

Are you sure there isn't a decimal missing i.e. 9.2 yds? LOL I'd have thought those arrows would have a significant downward tilt to them.

That is an amazing group at that yardage. With my old eyes, I would be happy with that group at 40. Great job!

I was shooting a Hoyt AX-2 bow. My arrow velocity is 302 fps. I use a QAD drop away rest. If the shooter can do it, the bow will definitely hit where you’re aiming. But there was a LOT of luck involved!

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
