I funnily enough got my first 9.3x62 yesterday. Just a plain jane Zastava LK M70. I found it at a gunshow local to me for less than $400 USD. 2 tables over I was also delighted to find a West Germany era Schmidt & Bender 1.25-4x20 for 100 USD in good condition. What a good day. I intend to throw the S&B on this to try out, however I may move it to my 375

Perfect hunting all around rifle.
Less trendy but avoid to clean all times after raining ...barrel only after shot obiviously.!

I have been packing it every afternoon on my walks. I am really starting to love this rifle and plan on keeping it "as is" with open sights.

I am going to get a green fiber optic front sight for easier/faster target acquisition.

There's just a little to much naturally occurring background color to let me pick up the white front sight.

There's just a little to much naturally occurring background color to let me pick up the white front sight.

I use either red or orange fingernail polish to brighten up my front sights. White is not a good color in northern or high altitude locations.

If any of y'all happen to be around San Angelo, Texas I have 3 boxes of PPU 9.3x62 that I'll give you. I bought a drilling on gunbroker that listed the rifle barrel as 9.3x62, but it turned out to be a 38-55.

If that clip is from the 1920s (as stated by the YouTube channel in the video's description) then it probably isn't Osa's Oberndorf Mauser 9.3x62 rifle. Going by its serial number, her Oberndorf Mauser in 9.3x62 was manufactured in 1930/1931. If she owned a 9.3x62 rifle prior to that one then I'm not aware of it. Also, a 9.3x62 rifle is not listed by her in her book I Married Adventure as part of their arsenal during their stay at Lake Paradise in the 1920s.

BTW, I'm the current owner of Osa's Oberndorf Mauser 9.3x62 rifle. If you haven't seen it before, here's the thread that I started about her rifle:

9.3x62, 1938 DWM Mauser, Heym Match grade barrel, 50 cm, Ralf Martini made stock of Birds Eye maple, Recknagel safety, Timney trigger, shoots 155 gr MJG as a deer and moose load.

This was one of the final Mannlicher-Schoenauer 9.3x62 full stock rifles I had. EAW quick detach side mount. I let Griffin & Howe sell it on consignment.

I love Ralph’s guns. I like the style. His Heym in .404 Jeff I should have bought when I had the chance and liked shooting the bigger bores.

All of the 9.3x62 Mannlicher Schoenauers I've owned had 60cm rifle barrels, including the full stock models.
