I’ve been reloading 9.3x62 with R17 and Varget with projectiles from 250-286 gr.
This was this past weekend. A 4 shot group at 100 yards with 270gr Speer/58,50 gr Varget/Geco brass/GM-210-LRP.
Just out of interest here are my results with the woodliegh 286g and 320g. Rifle is a zg47 24 in barrel. I settled on the 286g norma Oryx for a Botswana playing game hunt at 62g RE17 mv 2357.
320g RE15
55g 2221fps
56g 2291fps
57g 2317 fps
thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
hey bob , new on here. i specifically joined to enquire about a 444 you built on a Enfield 4-1 you built . who did the barrel and what was the twist and profile specs ? look foward to your reply . cheers
