7x57 factory ammo

+1 on stocking up on the EU variants--but especially since they load full bore for the 7x57, not being fearful someone will use them in an older, weaker action. Check all choices to see if you are comparing apples to apples on velocities.

Nosler’s ammo with 140gr Accubond shoots very well in my Nosler M48 7x57 rifle. I have not tried their E-Tip.

If I had a 7x57 I know I would be shooting

7x57 Mauser 150 Grain TXRG Sellier Bellot Xergy Blue Ammo

You’ll never go wrong using Norma ammunition. The Oryx bullet performs brilliantly. Nosler Partition are also a good bet.
The Sellier&Belliot 173gr SPCE bullet is in my opinion too soft to be using on African game. I recovered one bullet this week from a deer I shot. The jacket, what was left of it, was in shreds, no core. I would not like to have used that on an oryx.

You have the 7mm Mauser/.275 Rigby caliber. Norma, Hornady, Sellier Belloit, and PWC all make ammo for it, and 150 grain bullet is probably the most common grain bullet loaded. I wouldn't get too hung up about the type of bullet though

Most of my hunts are solo — just me, my rifle, and a good map. Sometimes I tag along with an old buddy for a week in Zimbabwe or South Africa, but more often than not, it’s just me.
Big fan of classic hunting — bolt-action rifles, old-school tracking, and taking the time to really be in the moment.
Just did a podcast, check it out if interested!
