500 Jeffery Club

Gerrie Coetzee in Bloemfontein South Africa.

Vektor Magnum Action that I had converted to Single Square bridge.

Nice bit of timber on that 500. The metal work is also 1st class.

Was just a question.

As I get older, I can no longer shoot well with open sights. That's why years ago I had, as a preventive measure, scopes mounted on all my big bore rifles, include the rifle caliber 500 Jeffery. Also helps if you want to shoot something other than big game.

We did keep the option for a side mount open with the engraving. But I highly doubt that will be my plan for the next few years.

I prefer my action being open from the top. A red dot solves that problem.

I actually don't currently have a rifle with a scope on

I deposited a 3rd 500 J .. medical set all aside, however.

Howdy
I am having my 500 J built for me by Musgrave. Any pics of engraving done on your rifles, please share. Thanks.

Beautiful! I'll post pictures of mine when I get it back from the gunsmith. It wasn't a plain jane when it went in but I wanted an ebony forend and grip cap and a darker stain. this is the before picture (not nearly and nice as yours).

CO: your 500j needs nothing to my eyes. It’s a perfect working rifle. You can make it fancy, but not better. That’s just me.
