50 days left , more overtime to work to pay for it, but off on the second hunt to South Africa .. every thing looks good . Hunt all planed and ready to go , but still looking for some info on the markets in Joberg . WE have a day and 1/2 to kill and the Ladies want to shop ,any help out there for this ??

58 days left until Namibia . Hunting the moon phase this year so the normal May departure was pushed into July. In all the years I have gone through Johannesburg I have never stopped at anywhere but Afton guest house. Blend in when you go out . Buy springbok shirts and try not to look like a lost tourist . Shopping in Johannesburg will be more adventurous and probably cost more than the safari . Have a great time .

What is on everyone's list ? I am going for springbok, warthog , nyala and a bushbuck and one left open for what I am given a opportunity at. My 16 year old nephew that I am taking is up for a warthog a zebra a springbok and a blesbuck .

I have Kudu, Red Hartebeest, Blesbuck, Bushbuck and Impala on my list and I am also open for Steenbuck, Duiker and Warthog if I get a chance with my bow.
Or maybe something else
I am open minded to whatever and what I can afford

Number one on the list for my son and I are Buffalo then maybe Burchells zebra after that it's pretty much whatever presents itself. I think that once we have our Buffs down the rest of the trip should be a nice relaxed armed vacation. My oldest daughter has decided to go along and is planning on taking a zebra, she says that's all she wants, we'll see how that works out.

My list includes whatever mature animal walks within range of my Mathews bow. (as long as I can I afford it/them.) Record books are not important to me, rather a mature animal that presents a good shot. Let's see...hmm I like Kudu, Gemsbok, Eland, Blue Wildebeest, Black Wildebeest, Impala, Warthog, Zebra, Waterbuck, Hartebeest, Jackal, and Springbok. No expectations just hoping for a good experience and maybe some good shot opportunities.

I'm not sure where you're staying, but if at the Afton house they can arrange for the ladies to spend time at a curio shop. The shop sends out a driver to pick you up / take you back. The shop is probably a bit more spendy then it needs to be, but it gives you something to do.

Being a Harley rider, I also found a HD dealer in Sandton if I remember correctly. Had to pick up the obligatory t-shirt.

Well I have a street glide so I might head over there myself , I am going with Adansonia Safaris , My main animals are a bushbuck , warthog < my wife has broken down and will now let me take one > Nyala and a springbok but I am taking some spare cash in case a opportunity comes my way

17 days and counting, all the paper work done , the nephew is getting spastic and wife is getting on my nerves with all the last minute shopping . worked 34 days straight get one off then work till I get on the plane , oh well it makes the time go by quick
