Gentlemen,

I recently acquired my first double rifle and its in .470 Nitro Express; question being where do you guys find bronze bore brushes for this caliber?

I've done several internet searches and all I am coming up with is pistol brushes .475 for the .480 Ruger pistol.

Any help would be appreciated

Africa Sporting Creations sells them

You can also use a 50 Caliber bore brush. It will probably do a better job and are available from all of the main supply houses.

I used a 375 bore brush on my 9mm yesterday. Get a 50 and push it through. If you have a friend with muzzle loader take his worn out 50 brushes.

Just a crazy thought, but maybe a .458 wrapped with a cleaning patch?

I bought the .475 brushes from this company. They are a bit tight but work out just fine!
The bullet diameter of the 470 being .474

Go with shotgun brushes... 28 gauge is .550 or as above 50 cal such as 500 S&W. With modern bore cleaners, the synthetic brushes are good with Montana and other great copper getters. I went with shotgun. as I don't have anything in "civilian" 50 cal (standing up and hand over heart for John Moses Browning).

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
