Hello all, new to forum, but what a great place so far. Posted yesterday but might have messed up and got banned and the post removed. That said, looking to see if anyone has any leads on a .458 Lott? Lost out on a few opportunities on a Win 70 and CZ-USA but hopeful someone here might know the way. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Questioning is fine, it’s a good question considering the caliber. I’d love to be legit and tell you that I have a Cape buffalo hunt planned but alas, my dreams outweigh my reality. Truly, I just like to collect firearms that I like; researched a lot from the 450s, from threads on here actually, and got a better idea of the versatility of typical rifle setups in .458 Lott with also being able to accommodate 458 win mag; and getting deep into ballistics, SD, etc, the Lott does seem to reign pretty supreme for the big bores, that said, I’m still learning. I have a Win 70 in 375 H&H and it is an absolute dream, but in hopes of expanding the collection thought alright, let’s make the 458 Lott the next one.

I have a DGR by American Hunting Rifles in .458 Lott that I have been holding for a buddy for a couple years, but he subsequently picked up a .500, .505 etc. I have largely moved to the .450 Rigby. Where are you located? I hate shipping rifles. :)

My goodness that is a beautiful rifle, the grain pattern on that furniture is incredible. I’ve only ever had one opportunity to shoot in the 500s and that was the 505 Gibbs; the most unpleasant(recoil), yet ironically fun shooting experience. I’m in West TN, and yes I understand except the opposite because I’ve only ever been able to ship in what I want.

The stock is spectacular. I have owned many AHR rifles, and this is the nicest by far. Not even close. I was in Nashville last week, but won’t be back for a long time. :-). As stated, gunbroker or GI are likely your best bet. Good luck!

It is a spectacular rifle for sure, don’t think I’ve seen a stock as detailed. Well figured that would be the case, but certainly appreciate the consideration. If you ever reconsider wanting to ship it out, would happily talk further about a sale. Thank you, best to you.

Have a cz but in Australia happy to ship ?
What an offer, thank you for the consideration. If I felt like I knew anything about international shipment of firearms, I’d take you up on that offer. If you’re more familiar, would happily discuss further. Have any images you’d feel comfortable sharing?

Black range firearms Horsham. Au will post.

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
