.416 Rigby - Will this stock hold up?

Blaser offers the R8 in wood thumbhole stocks.
However they are only available in factory configuration up to 375H&H.
You can channel the stock out to accept the 416RM or larger 22mm barrels.
Doing so may result in Blaser not honoring any possible warranty.

I’ve actually spoken to Blaser about it and you can get the stocks open to accept 22mm barrels from the factory (they have safari and “match” barrels in this profile). However, their answer to shooting safari calibers out of the thumbhole stocks was that they don’t recommend it due to recoil. It can be done though, there’s a video of some Scandinavians shooting 500 Jeffery out of thumbhole R8 on youtube.

Exactly.
My wife's Intuition was opened up to accept the 22mm barrels but is not a thumbhole stock.
She will be shooting a 375&H& on the regular and occasionally a 416RM.
If it were wood AND thumbhole...that's where I see an issue with the larger calibers.
