.416 Practice DGX/DGS Bullets

Just an FYI for anyone else building a supply of .416 practice loads. I found some older DGX/DGS bullets from a company out of Naples, FL. They are not the newer bonded bullets, so I wouldn't actually hunt them, but that is reflected in the price. I bought 6 boxes, so I'm good for practice ammo for a while. Just thought I'd pass it along.

They’re a legit company, just not one of the big guys if that’s what you’re wondering. A lot of people stopped buying from them when they started charging scalper prices during Covid. I ordered a bunch of 22 cal sierras from them pre Covid and while I don’t remember what the shipping time was like I do know that I received them and wasn’t upset about the fulfillment time enough to remember it being an issue, so it must’ve been acceptable enough back then.

I would be interested in knowing how much point of aim varies from these to your hunting rounds. I would hate to "Zero" according to my practice ammo and then find out there is a huge difference in point of impact with my hunting rounds.

I got these as purely practice rounds. My plan is to switch over to factory ammo for a box or two before my next trip and I will rezero before hand.

Have you received your order?

I have, both times I ordered. FedEx lost the first order for a few days, but it showed up within about a week. Second order I placed last Thursday and got on Sunday.

I would be interested in knowing how much point of aim varies from these to your hunting rounds. I would hate to "Zero" according to my practice ammo and then find out there is a huge difference in point of impact with my hunting rounds.

I doubt there will be any difference, I do the exact same thing with unbonded .470ne Hornady bullets and they hit the same POI as the bonded version as well as Woodleigh RNSN so it makes for really cheap practice.

Think I've got my .470ne practice loads down to $35.00 per box of 20 vs. $200+ for factory ammo.
