404 Jeffery conversion issues

This is the bottom metal for a .404J made by Granite Mountain Arms. Wider than those intended for use with many large bore cartridges. GM does mill the magazine box to suit the intended cartridge.

I do not know and the part in the photo is at my gunmaker's engraver's shop, so not available for immediate inspection.
