338 Remington Ultra Mag & Woodleigh 300S

my brown bear hunter was using a 338UM with factory loaded 300 gr nosler accubonds. it did a good job, but his muzzle brake mucked up my ears!!

It’s not exactly what you are asking, but I load 250 gr Accubonds in mine. It groups well . I’ve only shot moose with it. Performance was impressive. No post shot tracking or packing involved.

How did the ABs hold up on the brown bear
frontal standing chest shot, bullet exited on 9 1/4' brown bear out his back. did not recover a bullet from it. bear made it 350 yards or so before expiring. (with a couple helper shots in the high shoulder)

Well thank you thank you very much

Hope it helps. I have a couple more loads using powders with Austrailian designations. PM me if you would like me to provide them.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.

Hi EGS

I read your thread with interest. Would you mind sending me that PDF? May I put it on my website?
