I’ve been excited to hold this rifle for quite some time—it’s truly a bucket-list gun for me. I’ve always wanted a pre-war .318 Drop-Lock, and some rifles just have that instant connection when you pick them up. This was definitely one of those.

SN 18000, a .318 Westley Richards Drop-Lock double rifle, blends classic design with practical field use. Fitted with a period scope for longer shots, it remains both elegant and dependable. The engraved lion scene with axis deer on the floorplate is a striking detail, showcasing both the rifle’s purpose and the artistry of its maker.

Wow she is a beauty! Where are you finding all these nice pieces?

Amazing rifle, would love to hear her back story

A round body Drop lock. What the ?

What is the cost to tour your museum/gunroom.

Did you install an exhaust system to smoke cigars while perusing the museum? I can picture enjoying a cigar and adult beverage while hearing about each firearm.

Beautiful rifle, congratulations! A 12 ga droplock of similar vintage has become the favorite firearm in my collection. Absolutely elegant design.

I can’t even guess what a round body Drop Lock Wesley would cost to make now

Most of my collection has come from Europe, I spend more time searching than I should.

I didn’t install an exhaust system, But I should have. I’m building a new Gunroom next year, I’ll consult with you first!

If you are ever in Oklahoma, reach out. I’ll let you walk it

And it wouldn’t have the soul or patina as this one does
I totally agree. I love the vintage guns. This one is going to Botswana with me next July.
I’m taking 2 guns.

1. 500 NE Rigby Rising bite
2. 318 double

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
