318 NE bolt very tight on kynoch ammo

Too bad! Trying to get a classic operational is something completely different from building one of these semi obsoletes on purpose!

Try to get some reloading dies and equipment that hopefully matches your chamber. Pull down a round with either a collet type puller or an inertia type. One pic shows a possible stake crimp in the neck? Pull bullet, deprime, size, trim, prime, charge, seat. If that round chambers, that should at least provide some opportunity to shoot until the original bullets are shot. Then of course you’ll have to procure a source for those odd diameter bullets for the 318. :)

Best of luck in getting that classic going!

Many thanks, and yep, think you're spot on. I will try and source dies, but failing that, perhaps the 30-06 to .318NE dies produced in the US would be a better option.

thanks for the input all!

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
