My first carp shoot for 2015

A great end to those carp. I have many in my pond, lots of fun to shoot with a .22 but no recovery. My wife wants to market them as "Oklahoma Coy" and sell them to the decorative pond people. Gross fish......

Bow is a PSE Polaris (any old bow will to 40/50 lbs)
Rod is an AMS Bow fishing rod
Reel is a Zebco 808 spooled with 100 lb powerpro
Arrow is new for 2015 Eastons FMJ fish arrow .
The other system we quite often use is the AMS bowfishing reel .

Will list the good with the bad ....... got out today but with the rain we have had over the last 2 days ...the rivers and lakes are blown and are the color of choclate milk , did not even get our bows out of the truck .

This is most definitely not something we do on a regular basis in RSA – but here is my attempt at it a while ago. I used a 308 to bag….or should I rather say net, this Grass Carp.
