2015 African Hunt, Thoughts on these rifles?

Maybe we are just using different words. I've found that, as you say Diamondhitch, the Barnes makes a small hole going in, but I've usually had a decent size hole coming out (and most do come out), but that damage in the middle - what you call carnage - I think of as lots of damage. So on the same page after all?

Well I did all of my hunting for plains game in Africa with a Browning A Bolt in a 300 Win Mag and it works. The .458 Win is plenty for dangerous game, so you are fine.

+1 with that exact 300 Win Mag. Took 11 trophies in 2012 ranging from Wart Hog through Eland from 100-250 yards. Has much more reach that non-mag .30 calibers and the recoil isn't bad. Excellent ballistics and terminal velocity.

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
