You have excellent taste. Did you get the Leopard? congratulations on a great hunt.
What a memorable trip, great rifles and great pics. Is the Vos & Co belt from SA or the USA ?Putting the 450NE 89b to work in Zimbabwe on buffalo, couple hippo, warthog and bushbuck. Then again in Botswana on my first ele bull. View attachment 804122View attachment 804123View attachment 804124View attachment 804125View attachment 804126View attachment 804127View attachment 804128
Both Vos & Co belts were made in SA. The one from regular leather pictured above with the ele in Botswana back in April is for my 450NE and a model they regularly make, he was able to have one in time for that hunt and I just had him drop ship it to Mr X so I grabbed it as I came through. And the darker one, pictured further up in post #48 with my recent Ele and color case Heym 500, it was a special order to my design, cases canted outward on both sides for easy grab with left or right hand, and deleted the additional strap and buckle on the other belt as I don’t use it and only provides a buckle to snag or scratch a buttstock. Same thing, once it was completed I had them ship to Mr X and a buddy brought it to Zim when he flew through JoBurg the week before this recent trip…since I was flying directly into Harare. What a memorable trip, great rifles and great pics. Is the Vos & Co belt from SA or the USA ?
I have panels from both hippo being tanned…which should be done actually…but haven’t settled on what exactly I’ll make, especially since I have panels from both the bull Ele in Botswana from April and now another one in Zimbabwe. Saved all main panels, trunk skins, and front feet on both, and then one ear from the Zim bull as well. With how much I have always loved elephant hide, I’m all but totally distracted from what I’ll do with the hippo.Wildwill, are you having anything made from the hippo leather?
