Maybe I have been bamboozled but I have been able to order one of the standard right handed models. It was confirmed by my dealer. So either it’s real or I am out 1400 bucks.

I know what you’re saying but the right hand models have not been available with a barrel mounted sling swivel so that’s a new development. I’ve seen none in the wild yet-just what’s on Ruger’s website. The right hand models have been available for a while. This thread is specifically talking about the production and availability of the left hand counterparts.
It never was a project. Ruger erred. Even if you look at the traditional offerings (Alaskan Bush) on the Ruger website, they have removed the images of the rifles with the barrel mounted swivel stud. They did, however, forget to remove from the description that it is included. I just received one from FFL and it was a slick barrel. Promptly returned. Even this Lipsey’s rep was confused and thought it should have it even after another confirmed it would not.The links at Ruger are dead and I’m having s hard time finding it on lipsey’s site now. Did they cancel the project?

...I have found out in the past that waiting patiently for promised left-handed models to appear can be a character-building experience stretching from months into years...sometimes never.![]()
). It's often an exercise in exasperation. Fortunately I have everything I want so I follow offerings like this more out of hopeful enthusiasm for a new left-handed rifle than a desperate need to fill an empty slot. I've gotten really good at talking myself out of new rifle purchases over the last couple of years. It is my understanding that LH rifles will NOT be available and that is was an err on Ruger’s part. The stock photo in Odonata’s OP shows two sling swivel studs. The barrel band looks to be to be out of square both vertically and horizontally. If that’s the case I’d rather have one with just the forearm stud. I could install one and make it plumb, level and square closer to the forearm.
So everyone is saying these are still coming, just without barrel band? I’ve yet to see a second RH, much less a first LH.
@Est.1970Hell’s fire. Looks like Ruger may never get around to more left hand actions.
