John Rigby & Co. Highland Stalker – .308 Winchester – LNIB – Stunning Wood

For sale is my John Rigby & Co. Highland Stalker chambered in .308 Winchester. The rifle is LNIB and is in beautiful condition.

This is an exceptionally attractive Highland Stalker with a stunning walnut stock showing excellent fiddleback and color. The photos really tell the story—the wood on this rifle is outstanding.

The Highland Stalker is Rigby’s classic lightweight stalking rifle, built in the traditional style for which Rigby is known. Chambered in .308 Winchester, this one makes a beautiful and very practical hunting rifle.

I have not personally shot this rifle, and to be honest, given there are no blemishes or marks of any kind on it, I have to conclude this rifle has never been hunted with. Metal, wood, checkering and finish are all excellent.

Includes the original Rigby case/box, target showing how it shoots Hornady 180 grain ammo, registration form to register it, protective sock.

Caliber: .308 Winchester
Condition: LNIB
Manufacturer: John Rigby & Co.
Model: Highland Stalker
LOP: 14.5"
Weight: 7lbs 14oz

I’m selling simply because I have more rifles than I can realistically use, and this one deserves to be hunted rather than spend its life in my safe.

I will gladly answer whatever questions I can, I am also available for a call or I can make a video to send, whatever would ease anyone's mind that this is a legitimate offering. I am not interested in trades.

Price: $12,900

Shipping to an FFL where legal. Buyer is responsible for shipping/insurance and any applicable transfer fees. Payment by mutually agreed-upon method.

wish I wanted a 308!

GLWS. Beautiful!

What length is the barrel ?

Nice Fiddleback wood specimen. Definitely would be nice to go into the field where it was made for

Somebody’s gotta buy this.

Delicious! GLWS

When my favorite hunter/shooter has a .270, 7x57, .280, 7mm Rem, .300 HH, ,300WM, and am looking at a 257 Wby and 6.5x284 Norma, why would I need a .308??? I am trying hard to talk myself out of this....

Stunning rifle. If I ever hit the lotto I am buying one in 275 Rigby.

Do you mind me asking what auction you are referencing? I'm not in the market for any of those rifles...just curious.

Good morning from Montana.

I'm looking at a post from 2018 where you were looking for a lefty Winchester in .375 H&H Magnum. I'm selling mine. My email is [redacted] in the event that you're still searching for a unicorn.

Best,

Kelly Palmer
Gents, if you book and pay your deposit before the end of this year , you can have the bigger cull package for the 2026 price! https://www.africahunting.com/threa...griffiths-safaris-starting-at-us-2-560.96285/
