With having total knee replacement surgery last week and being confined to my recliner, I have entirely too much time on my hands, and it's getting expensive! I decided I really wanted a Rigby Rifle, as I am a lover of the romanticism and quality that the brand brings. If I bought a Rigby in a DG caliber it really would not get that much use. But... if I bought a Rigby Highland Stalker, I could get it in a Plains game caliber to take to Africa, but it could also be my go to North American Deer/Hog gun. So the Rigby would get plenty of use! After careful consideration I decided to get the Highland Stalker in .275 Rigby. Some will say I might be under gunned for some of the larger plains game on my 2028 list (like Sable) but I will stepping up the bullet to a 160 Grain Swift A-Frame from Extreme.
After searching for a Rigby Highland Stalker in .275 Rigby, I saw that JD Outfitters in Oklahoma had one at the ready. I "pulled the trigger".
Here is my first Rigby.
