I'm planning on overnighting at Afton in April prior to my buffalo hunt. On prior trips, I have used riflepermits.com for permits and VIP service at the airport. I thought it might be more convenient to use Afton for everything as I'll be staying with them, and they will be doing airport pickup. Has anyone used their VIP permit service lately? Ane recommendations for or against? I'm not concerned with any minor cost differences. I am only looking at it from a level of service and convenience standpoint. If riflepermits level of service is higher, I'll stick with them. Thanks!

I used them last week. Everything went smoothly. They have a special going on now that can’t be beat. The police didn’t know where all the guns had been put from the United flight. Mr. X went to work and they were quickly found.

That’s good to hear! Thanks for the info.

Just curious who are you hunting with? I am booked for a trip at the end of May.

Is there a link to Afton? (Assume they’re in Jo-berg).

We’re looking at a 2027 trip and, same as you, we want to engage a high-level service for getting two rifles and ammo thru Joberg to where we want to be.
Thanks.

Afton Safari Lodge Johannesburg they will have all the info and are very quick answering questions Elsie is very nice to work with

you will be very happy with Afton House and Mr. X and the steak dinner there is great! Make sure you contact Jennifer with Travel Express (sponsor on AH) for your travel plans she does a wonderful job, she even puts up with me haha.

You couldn't spend your money any better... Couldn't see going to Jo Burg without them...

As others have said, you’re in good hands with Mr. X and Aftons.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob
