Check out "Field and Stream" in Limpopo. They do impressive work. Zebra flat skin $410.

It would be worth verifying if its just a tanned flat skin with bare leather or felted with edge binding, that can dramatically change the price.

If that is just for a flat skin done in Africa, the price seems high to me. As @Wyfox said, if it's felted etc it makes more sense.

That said, I have noticed quite a few taxidermists in Africa are trying very hard to get their pricing up towards what we see in North America.

I’ll find my quote when I’m back but I know for skulls on 10 different animals to include wildebeest and nyala I paid nothing over $225.00 and for flat skins it was the same.

$500-650 is inline for a Flatskin on an animal like a Zebra or Wildebeest. Costs can vary a bit, especially if you’re adding a felt backing or something.
