I am due to hunt bushpigs next year. However I can’t decide what I would do taxidermy wise. I was thinking either shoulder mount or euro mount!

Please share your thoughts, opinions and images of what you have all chosen to do with your bushpig trophies!

I’m looking for some inspiration!

I got my first bushpig shoulder mounted. It was a big sow but an impressive mount. I finally took a big boar this year (daylight tracking of all methods). I’m getting another shoulder mount. My other bushpigs I just kept the tusks and took photos. Take lots of photos to show your taxidermy how to rebuild the face.

Sounds pretty cool. Do you have a picture. Don't think I've seen a bushpig rug.
I am out of country now. I will dig through fotos tonight to see if I have one.

MY KID HARVESTED A NICE ONE A FEW MONTHS AGO, HAVING IT DONE AS A 3-D WALL MOUNT IN PICTURE FRAME.

I like shoulder mounts, my bushpig is very colorful.

Following as I need ideas for my Red River Hog mount !

I’d do both, they have a cool skull to display while your waiting for your mount & artificial tusks or a set of Wild Boar tusks can go in either !

The Red River Hog skull is ever so slightly different in it is slightly flatter.

I’ll take a picture of it tonight.
This a sow, wasn’t going to mount her but it was a very memorable stalk, about 400yds in the dark stalking up on the bait.
I would love to get a big boar to go with her.

I have a wild boar with good cutters shoulder mounted. My wife put a big plastic rose sideways in its mouth. She hates it. I got a warthog this year, will shoulder mounted next to it, then someday a bushpig. Then I will have an actual “swine section”.

It costs a little more, but I wanted mouth open, because the vicious B@$tard attacked while the blood trail was being followed.

Be careful of this Wolfen guy. 2 messages. Both trying to sell something. He PM'ed me trying to sell something and he PM'ed my friend on here trying to sell something. Fishy.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob
