What's the riskiest stunt you've ever pulled?

Bikes...fast cars. One boat incident ....couple of riots ...scary bar or two....Jesus list is endless ....still as dumb .......

Sitting here reflecting after my first post probably should of added way to quick to use my fists as a teenager and at times actively sought out altercations ultimately leading to me being cut from my left shoulder blade acrossed my back to my right hip with a broken bottle.

I’ve got a buddy that bought a FARM (just for hunting) without talking to his wife. He was at the auction and he thought it was going cheap, so he bought it. 10 years later and you STILL can’t bring it up in front of her

I’ve been pretty tame. Took a “shortcut” down a dry waterfall while packing out an elk once. Wasn’t a good idea.

Hiked up rock avalanche chutes that were shifting under our feet while sheep hunting in Russia. No one would have ever found us. Maybe a bear would have dug our carcasses out at some point.

Can’t think of any more

I’ve screwed up more times than I can count. The worst was trying a very large waterfall in a solo whitewater canoe. This occurred in @Tubby’s Canteen country. In my defense, I was a very good whitewater paddler.

I got sucked into the foot of the falls. After kicking out, I was sucked along the bottom of the river and finally managed to get to surface 200 yards downstream. Apparently God had plans for me because I should have died.

Gold river?

One time my combine wouldn’t fit under a power line (one that runs to house), so I had dad drive it under while I held the line up with a forked stick. I got the hopper through and it was dragging along the unload auger till it caught a bolt at the very end. I crawled out to the end of the auger and removed the line.
That move was dumb in a couple ways.
Another time I got my feet, left hand, and chainsaw pinned under a 12” tree. I was able to squirm out but it was starting to hurt.

Yep. Been to those falls? Not a place for a solo canoe with flotation bags.

Pretty sure I know the place , is it in by the old gold works Where the burrow pit was?

Was a difficult decision which one to choose!

Probably this:

1977, a training exercise at Camp Lejeune.

Night assault on a fortified position.

Just prior to when we thought we'd make contact, a flare went up illuminating our column. We scattered.

As I moved (faster than I probably should have) I had trouble getting oriented with the moving shadows in the woods from the moving flare (falling and drifting on a chute).

Suddenly I see a low wall in front of me (turned out to be a tank tread on its side) and I had to decide in a split second what to do.

I decided (stupidly) to try to jump over it. Loaded down with steel pot, flak jacket, rifle, 782 gear...I ended up hitting the tank tread with my left knee, fracturing it.

That turned out to be the least of my problems!!

Turns out the tank tread was blocking off a small ravine of sorts, that had lots of rocks at the bottom. Rocks that I decided to try to break with my head.

Last thing I remember was hearing "he's not breathing" and feeling my lungs filling with air, but by being pushed in vs pulled in.

Three days later was my next memory...I was back in the field with my unit, with a cast from ankle to mid-thigh.

43 years later I am dealing with numerous issues and I get my XO (who was there that night) to write up the details of what happend. Turns out I had died 4 times on the way to the hospital, with the two Corpsmen bringing me back on the side of the road each time I vapor-locked.

Long story short, I am told I had a TBI that likely is related to my medical and psych challenges.

The good old USMC never told me squat. I thought I just had a fractured knee and the trauma made me blank out. I never could figure out why I never remembered getting the cast or being in the hospital, but I didn't waste time on it.

The other good one involves a cliff on GITMO and a jeep with the wheels hanging in the air with the frame on the rock...but I was able to climb out the back of the jeep without injury.

Don't let anyone tell you training in the Marine Grunts is not dangerous!!

I figured the only way to get a 96 jeep Cherokee to 108 mph was to throw it out of a perfectly good airplane.

Driving 70 mph down a dirt road, pitch black night w/o starlight goggles using only a slit beam, hooded black out light.

Not sure. Just remember a drop and volume of water well beyond the capabilities of my rig. Should have gotten a clue when it blew my buddy completely out of his kayak!

Anime Slayer APK is honestly one of the best anime apps I’ve ever used. It’s packed with a massive collection of both popular and underrated titles, and everything streams smoothly without interruptions. I appreciate how well it runs even on mid-range Android devices.

Between Blak Rock and Pocahontas, I did not want to say that on the forum. That's a nice Cat!
