Anyone been getting sick on flights lately?

I’m in a similar boat as you. 6 different flight this week so far + a large trade show with thousands of attendees for a day and a half. Couple next week + and a few the week after and the next couple weeks after that.

I get a sinus infection or two each year typically around some international stuff but I can fight through it. I haven’t gotten a flu shot in almost a decade and aside from Covid can’t remember ever getting the flu. I’m also the type of person who will keep working despite feeling sick. Might rearrange some stuff to take a home office day for others sake, but I’ll remotely work and probably more than if I was traveling.
 
I got sick on my trip last year. I flew Seattle to London to Johannesburg to East London and back. On the morning of day 3 I woke with a bad sore throat. By day 4, it was in my lungs. I had taken some Costco cold medicine along and it didn't phase what I had one bit. I couldn't lay down at all without major coughing fits. I coughed so hard at times I saw flashes. I powered through, but was fairly miserable, and felt bad for my PH and tracker who had to sit in the rig with me. I swear I ran the lodge out of napkins. I was in Africa 11 days total, and it was at least 2 weeks once I got home before I stopped coughing like crazy. No fever, head ache, muscle ache, just the congestion. I was doing my best at the airport to suppress coughing fits. Thankfully there was a drug store in the airport and I got some double extra strength Halls cough drops that really helped when I felt a coughing fit coming on. Probably the worst of it all, I couldn't recline my business class seat as I knew it would trigger these coughing fits. At 65 year of age, this was definitely the worst chest cold I had ever had. Even with the illness, I had the time of my life!
 
Sound like same I had except my ears also stopped up.
I am day 23 since landing back home, cough has let up and very little, left ear still has some fluid trapped in it but no infections. Dr's I have seen have no idea what it was or is and all blood work and xrays where negative.
