I love the Highland Stalker rifes from Rigby, so around 18 months ago I decided to trade in my old 9.3x62 and order a new one with upgrades.
As of late 2024-early 2025, Rigby started offering colour case hardened actions as an upgrade for the Highland Stalker, I ordered this one with CCH action & safety housing as well as upgraded wood.
Mounted a Swarovski z8i 1-8 in 30mm QD Hexalock rings, with the rings and scope it weighs in at 9.2lbs perfect weight for the 9.3x62.

Tomorrow I'll test a few different handloads through it, 232 grain PP Woodleighs, 286 grain Hornady SPRP & 320 grain RNSN Woodleighs. For now I will zero it with the 232 grain Woodleighs for wild boar here in Australia.

Beauty! Hope it shoots as pretty as it looks, looking forward to reading the range repot.

Congrats.

Nice bit of timber.

Wow, what a stunning looking rifle!! Congratulations!!

Beautiful rifle! Congratulations!

I would love to publish a story about your first hunt with it - please reach out afterward and we can discuss the details!

Sir that is a fantastic looking rifle

Looks like a complete disaster...
You need to sell it to me....

Other than the framing lumber quality stock, it should be accurate and serviceable. . .

:)

Seriously, that is beautiful and I would not change a thing. Congratulations. Well done by you and Rigby!

You really should work on your shooting skills. :ROFLMAO:

Congratulations on a beautiful rifle and very successful first range session. Cheers. :D Cheers:

I've made some lucky shots in my time but this one was a different level of luck. I ranged the distance when I took that photo, 282 yards back to where my shooting position was. 2 head shots with 1 bullet at 282 yards is a new PB for me!

That is a testimonial if I have ever heard one! What ammo were you using?

Well done sir!...... I will add that I've been to OZ twice and for a total of three months spent on your big damn island, and I must say that you Aussies have an appreciation for fine guns.

I find it equally amusing that every man and his dog that owns fine rifles also has a handful of "working" guns that are both quality and bear the scars of years in the bush.

Do you mind me asking what auction you are referencing? I'm not in the market for any of those rifles...just curious.

Good morning from Montana.

I'm looking at a post from 2018 where you were looking for a lefty Winchester in .375 H&H Magnum. I'm selling mine. My email is [redacted] in the event that you're still searching for a unicorn.

Best,

Kelly Palmer
