What do you enjoy that money cannot buy?

@Ontario Hunter you mentioned multiple times that you are a multi-millionaire. Can't hire someone to dust for you?

1. The Salvation of myself and all of my family over the age of 2 by my Lord Jesus Christ.
2. My family, brother's family, wife's family.
3. The fact that I live on my grandparent's old farm
4. The fact that I can shoot guns here to my heart's content, that is the culture around me, and no one within earshot would call in on me for disturbing the peace. If they did, the Sheriff's office would not even come out, because that's just what my neighbors and I do from time to time.
5. That I live in a place in America where gun ownership is expected. In fact, I'm expected to carry at church and take action, if we have a threat. (I don't even know anyone over 6 who doesn't own a gun)
6. The fact that I live in a place where there's absolutely no requirement to get permission or to register firearms. I could have over 10,000 - it absolutely doesn't matter here.
7. I can hunt big-game animals on my property, without even driving.
8. My children were able to grow up in a fashion similar to myself, in the country. They were able to walk or ride bikes to 3 different fishing ponds, be gone all day without worry, build forts, throw rocks at each other, get into fights, and learn to work things out without parental involvement (unless absolutely necessary).

And, of course, my wife.

We met in college in 1986, married in 1991, have a son and a daughter, and have been together ever since...

I've never come across anyone more suited to me. I hope she would say the same...

A little dust won't kill me. Hmm. My autoimmune system is pretty much bulletproof. Maybe living in a dusty environment has something to do with it? Yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking with it. :D

How easy it is to take the abundant blessing of each day for granted. On Easter my kids, grandkids and other family members were over celebrating the importance of the day. I woke up early to watch the sunrise as this was more special then most. A few days prior after finishing a job out of town, I had a 7 hour drive back to our shop. My hunting club was meeting that night and drove without a break so as to not miss our get together. Unloading the truck I felt a pain in my chest and assumed I had pulled a muscle. Chicken wings, beer, steak and a bourbon while reminiscing on previous hunting trips and talking of those yet to come with our every shrinking and aging group. @Doug3006 is presenting the pros and cons of various buffalo hunts that will be our next trip to Africa.

Pulled muscle was actually a heart attack, my wife got me to the hospital in time that night to ensure that I will be around for a while longer. Time is one of the more valuable things we have. Each day is a blessing from God.

Prayers for you and for a speedy recovery.

Since I’m struggling trying to come up with something witty to say….I’ll just say it’s indeed a blessing to have my hunting buddy to plan more trips with.

I am enjoying crappie right now--too bad they can't be bought....they have to be caught, and they are the best there is.
My grand daughter's unconditional love.
A faithful wife
Painted sunsets
Reasonably good health with which to hunt and fish!

Clear blue sky on a sunny day....the birds and little animals doing their things....and sitting back in my porch chair watching them and reminiscing with a nice pipe.

That I am alive. God saved my life on June 19, 2016 in the CAR. Every day is a bonus since then. Coming up on ten years fairly soon. Might have to have a party!?

Great family and good health, all of us.
My fishing boat in front of my house at sea coast.
Shooting range and hunting area within short distance.
Early morning coffee, with a view across the bay.
Nowhere in the world I can find similar things at same place.

My amazing wife.

Living in Zimbabwe. I was born and raised here, but have done enough time in the “first world” to know that’s not for me

Getting to do what I love for work

Yeah. I did the heart attack thing not quite three years ago. Has a way of making a person look at things and priorities differently doesn't it?

Yes, the fact that we have a Lord and savior in Jesus is the top of the list. From that, all other things flow.

As far as some earthly things, there's an old Tom T. Hall that's fairly straightforward and to the point about some of the simple things in life:

I Love

I love little baby ducks, old pick-up trucks
Slow movin' trains and rain
I love little country streams, sleep without dreams
Sunday school in May and hay
And I love you too
I love leaves in the wind, pictures of my friends
Birds of the world and squirrels
I love coffee in a cup, little fuzzy pups
Bourbon in a glass and grass
And I love you too
I love honest open smiles, kisses from a child
Tomatoes on the vine and onions
I love winners when they cry
Losers when they try, music when it's good
And life
And I love you too

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?
