Yes, it was originally done with some concepts Marlin had put together, but required further honing. So now he can build the full action and make certain parts out of titanium to handle the Bushwacker. In which he told me he was also able to make it a takedown. In which the first rifle had 3 different magazine tubes and barrels, with one being 500 Bushwacker, the 2nd being 500 S&W, and the 3rd being 45 Raptor.Marlin like action?
I got a new to me original 45-90 1886 looks just like one Teddy Roosevelt had .He wanted to takev1886 45-70s custom made to African but was talked into a 1895 405 .This 45-90 was in a bank safe 100 years cared for every year till they took it out .The wood and bluing is like new it was made in the custom shop in 1894 .

It was funny the guy posted crappy pictures of the 1886 45-90 .The case harding looked rusted or worn in the pictures .The gun looked brand new when I picked it up .A 80 year old guy sold it to a sporting goods shop who hung it on the wall .His dad a origin.ally bought the gun and kept it in the bank vault and cleaned it every year .The guy i got it from saw it on the wall at the gun store kept it two years sold it to me .I got a new to me original 45-90 1886 looks just like one Teddy Roosevelt had .He wanted to takev1886 45-70s custom made to African but was talked into a 1895 405 .This 45-90 was in a bank safe 100 years cared for every year till they took it out .The wood and bluing is like new it was made in the custom shop in 1894 .
@AustinMThis post reminded me that I need to take some pictures in the near future of my big bore leverguns.
Got 2 1895 Marlins modified for 45-90 and 510 Kodiak Express (50-110)
1894 Marlin in 50 AE, stretched action to 1.9" OAL
BHA 500 S&W
Looks like another gentleman has talked me into a marlin-like action that can handle the 500 bushwacker. Noted he was getting a hardcast 700 gr bullet to 2700 fps in a 26 inch barrel...I think that'll just about do it!
Levers are what I grew up on and still one of my favorites to handle!
