I picked up an Opinel #7 at a sporting goods store in South Africa this past September… I think I paid $13 for it at the current exchange rate.. at that price I should have bought 5 more… they’re awesome little knives…I love the Opinel knives. I have an Opinel #8 or a Swiss Army knife on me daily. The Opinels are easy to sharpen and stay sharp.
Safe hunting
Dang it! It was good. Drooled over some custom slip joints but didn’t buy anythingI missed it this year for the first time in several years…

Lol. I should’ve posted a reminder. The amount of materials available is pretty impressive.I definitely wanted to go… just completely forgot..
I usually pick up several sets of quality handle materials and a couple of bars of quality steel every year and spend half the day drooling over the craftsmanship on display…
I busied myself with a chainsaw all day instead lol
Here is the Melissa Backwoods Youtube Video from the showAnyone go to Blade Show Texas today??
For cutting up something large, a chainsaw is certainly more effective than a knife, although Dexter claims otherwise.I definitely wanted to go… just completely forgot..

That's awesome!Swedish steel. Hand forged. It is not particularly hard, but it sharpens easily. I call him old Daga boyView attachment 755636View attachment 755637
