Just received all my trophies back from Reflections of the Wild taxidermy in Oakland, Maryland. These are from my first ever African trip in June of 2024. I am SUPER happy with them. Incredible work!

Simply outstanding in every way!!!!!

Awesome work and presentations! Cool beans!

Nice, why all pedestals?

I like the Kudu and the gnu.

I like floor pedestals much more than wall mounts. This way, my guests can actually put their hands on the horns, see what they feel like, look at them eye to eye. Much better experience. And what is a gnu?

Exceptional hartebeest. Very tall rack. And the wildebeest has incredible thick bosses. How did it score? Beautiful kudu. Not a monster but in my opinion few of the +50" bulls have as pretty horns. Many have tight curls or goofy spread. Yours is just right. Congrats.

Gnu is the Dutch / Afrikaans word for wildebeest,

Blue gnu, white bearded gnu etc.

Surprised you never heard it while there

You have a good eye Sir. The Red Hartebeest is both SCI Gold and Rowland and Ward. The Blue Wildebeest is silver, having missed gold by 5/8 of an inch. And the Kudu does not even make bronze. But, as you say, he is beautiful.

That kudu mount is very nice!

Those are very nice. Christmas in March!

Those are all pieces of fine art.
+1. That is an interesting idea to use the hides.

Questions:

What are the dimensions of your "rug"?

What type of backing material was used?

LOL...Although...Just Thinking Out Loud.... that big brown spot that could be Cape Town location, probably could have been moved around in the general location of say..... Johannesburg.

Wildebeest is the Afrikaans word (wild beast). I always thought it was gnu in English, but apparently gnu is from a native Khoisan language.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
