I finally got my hands on a double rifle, its a near new VC in 450-400 3".

Small round body action, weighing 9.5lbs with 24" barrels. It came with a docter red dot which is mounted very low so I still got a good cheek weld, colour case hardened action, upgraded wood, built around 2018-2019 I believe, regulated with Hornady ammo.

I have loaded 3 different loads straight out of the Woodleigh loading manual using 400 grain softs, fingers crossed it likes one of these 3 loads.

I might change the recoil pad, I'll see how it feels to shoot first.

Beautiful double, love the color of the receiver. Looks like it needs to go on an adventure to the wilds.

75 grains of 2209
400 grain Woodleigh softs
Averaging 2100fps
With the irons it puts both barrels into 0.7"-0.9" at 50 yards and about 0.5"-1" high.
I'll put the red dot back on it this weekend and get it zeroed with this load.

Apart from my 9.3x74r double that unfortunately had to go , that is the best regulated double I have seen shown on this site...most I wouldn’t accept how they shoot..but just me as have ocd about it...if that's the correct word....don't like it when bit off centre..or one higher than the other...mine was muzzle width apart at 60 or so yards in centre of target...first time I shot it was standing off hand at 100 yards...when I walked to the target I was quite amazed to see the holes were level with each other and only about 8 or 9 inches apart...as said off hand and first time I ever shot it...loved it but as said had to go...lawyers bills...as said yours is very nicely regulated, and the last load looks perfect :D Beers:
