An apparent submarine attack on an Iranian warship off the coast of Sri Lanka has left at least 101 people missing, one dead and 78 injured, sources in Sri Lanka’s navy and defense ministry told Reuters on Wednesday.

The IRIS Dena frigate was armed with heavy guns, surface-to-air missiles, anti-ship missiles and torpedoes and could carry a helicopter.

The 180-crew frigate had issued a distress call at dawn.
This would be the first US submarine sinking since WWII. Unlike the tech then, a modern torpedo does not miss. Had an extensive introduction to our submarine force during "charm school" (new brigadiers and admirals participated in a six-week program visiting the other services). Back then the Mark 48 was wire guided and had acoustic active/passive homing capability. The unclassified range was over 30 miles and speed approaching 60 mph. I am sure they have only improved. If turned loose, they would have a field day with a Chinese amphibious force.

How idiotic can Iran get?
They are like a dying snake - striking out at anything and everything they can reach. The "strategy" is incomprehensible.

Are they hoping to create a public/international outcry to try and put pressure on US and Israel to cease operations? That’s already happening to an extent but they’re trying to ramp it up I guess?

Saw one place this morning where fuel prices jumped .35¢ a gallon

CA says "Hold my beer." That's just a regular event each year as they find new gas taxes. Now, they are trying to charge people $0.10/mile in addition to gas taxes.

I love the duplicity of California...

People cant afford to live.. we must raise wages.. burger flippers at McDonalds must get paid $20 an hour ($41,600 annually).. its unfair that they cant afford the basics in life!

while at the same time..

We'll purposely create the highest gas prices in the US through taxes and regulation.. Have the highest utilities costs in the US (60% higher than many other places) through taxes and regulation.. we'll inflate the hell out of housing costs by creating ridiculously strict zoning laws, and limit construction through regulation.. we'll create one of the most aggressive progressive tax systems in the country.. etc..etc..etc..

so that now.. even at $20 an hour a burger flipper cant afford to buy a burger...

so.. lets further tax gas! lets further tax utilities.. lets further restrict housing! lets tack on a little more income tax! that way we can give the burger flipper a raise!

Yeah, my water bill runs between $500-$600 a month (now, I have a large yard by CA standards just under an acre). Just got a notice from the water district that they are increasing fees by 9% starting March 1st which will be reflected on the April bill.

I am forced to move to a new residence this month, same zip code and water district. We'll see if the water bill will go down as the yard is smaller.

Flash signal

Starmerlite has been in touch with Margate Council

They are to scramble the pedalos

Sadly latest instructions from the CCP is that they are to paddle furiously in the wrong direction

That is all

Holy shit!

I knew water was costly in CA.. but I didnt realize it was that costly..

I can cover my water for the entire year for $600.. and that includes running the hell out of my in ground sprinkler system several times a week from about May until September every year...

Property tax.. thats a completely different animal though.. TX loves to screw you on your property tax.. the rates we pay here are insane...

This highlights one of the fundamental differences I have with the Democratic Party. They believe they can tax and regulate the country to prosperity. When they figure out that it fails the lower and middle income classes, they figure they didn't go far enough. The cycle continues.

Initially the upper income class isn't too affected by this lunacy, but after awhile that government bite gets to be too much, and off go the rich Cali's to other tax/regulation friendlier places. This of course will lower the revenue and Dems will likely respond to going further down the rabbit hole by increasing taxes further.

The sheep in the deep blue states always vote for the Wolves that eat them.
There seems to be a growing number of that type here in Arizona.
I can foresee Arizona becoming California lite in the future. Especially, with the "Monkey see, Monkey do" mind set of these idiot Democrat politicians.

The price Texans pay for no income tax.

I laughed at the proposal of a "Wealth Tax" that some politicians advocate. We already have a wealth tax, it's called property tax.

I'm over by the Air National Guard today. These
F-16 afterburners will make your eyeballs rattle...lol.

My first job out of college was at the General Dynamics plant in Ft Worth, TX. Home of the F-16 factory. The property parallels the runways for what was at least back then Carswell AFB. I worked a lot of graveyard shifts. The building I worked in, you could walk out the door an onto the tarmac of the AFB, was always a strange feeling to do so.

But it was a fun thing to do when taking a break to walk out there and see the F-16's taking off and hitting the afterburners at night while going into a roughly 90 degree climb.

My water bill runs 500-600$ per month during hot summer. Northeast of Houston. About an acre of San Augustine. Have 33 zones the way it’s layed out

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
