I bought this watch new from an AD on New Year’s Day in 2024 (have proof of purchase). It was sort of an impulse buy. I had just recently gotten into watches but I didn’t know anything yet and the lug to lug is just too much for my small wrist. If the lug to lug worked for my wrist I would keep it. Selling to fund another watch.

In the interest of full transparency and on the topic of not knowing anything I almost immediately caused an issue with it. Pretty sure it was the date wheel. I sent it in to one of Longines official US service centers and they fixed it right up. I still have the paperwork from that service that I can show any potential buyers.

After that embarrassing error and while it was away for that service I educated myself on automatic watches and did not have any further problems. After I got it back I wore it sparingly (did not wear it at work) but I did wear it and it shows signs of wear.

The longest continuous period I wore it was for one week (7 days) and it averaged +2.14 seconds a day, within COSC specs of -4/+6 seconds per day.

The last time I wore it was in late September of 2024. I did not have any issues with the watch. That said, when I decided to sell it in December of last year I wanted to give any potential buyers peace of mind so I sent it in for a full service to one of Longines official US service centers. I got it back earlier this month and have not worn it since getting it back. I have the paperwork from this service as well.

Reference number is L3.810.4.53.0

More information on the watch can be found here (same watch but with bracelet):

I’m asking $1650 shipped & insured CONUS. Comes with box/cards/tags. It had a cloth with it but I misplaced it. The flap of the box came off. Thanks in advance. Please communicate via PM. Be wary of scammers. I will not email you! LISTED ELSEWHERE

Beautiful watch! Wish I had more room in the watch case, but I have too many that don't get wrist time already. I'll share this with my friends and see if anyone's interested. I've have several Longines over the years and they always punch above their weight class. Best of luck to you!

Damn it! Nice watch but I just bought a new Omega a couple of days ago. I’m still tempted though…...

It’s not missing the hour hand! Bad timing on the photo.

41mm, stainless steel, platinum-gold dial, Sedna gold hands and indices, gray alligator strap.

I just saw this watch at my AD for $2850. This is a screaming deal on a terrific watch. If I hadn’t just bought a Tudor this week, I’d be all over this.

@Wishfulthinker580 is a top notch guy. Buy with confidence.

And whoever is reading this should absolutely buy this watch. A steal at this price.

You know I'm an Omega guy or I'd be all over this. Cheer mate and GLWTS.

One thing I forgot to mention in my OP when talking about the accuracy of this watch is that during the longest period I wore it (one week- 7 days) we were on vacation. Four days of that week many hours were spent at the beach and/or the pool. I didn’t wear it at those locations because of the leather strap so that +2.14 seconds per day accuracy might be even better with more wrist time. Of course that was before this last service so YMMV

This is tempting. I my everyday watch is a Movado Automatic 14 K- but it isn't water proof and I need to be careful about where I wear it. I recall having a Longines several years ago but don't recall the details. As noted I've had 2 Omegas, both stolen; but since I'm no longer going to be leaving it in my "personal area" while I was in the hospital recovering from wounds, or passed out drunk at a rock concert, the chances of this one being stolen are greatly reduced. I guess the question is: can I justify getting another watch?

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
