Unveiling the Rigby Legends Collection, a tribute to the greats of adventure and the golden age of safari

John Rigby & Co. proudly announces the launch of the Rigby Legends Collection, a distinctive new line of safari clothing that pays homage to the explorers and professional hunters whose lives and legacies are forever intertwined with Rigby’s own.

Crafted to the same uncompromising standards as Rigby rifles, each piece in the Legends Collection is built fit for purpose and made to serve the hunters and explorers who value function, authenticity and enduring style.

Drawing inspiration from both the icons of modern safari hunting and the legendary figures of its past, the collection honours those whose courage and skill helped shape the traditions of the sport. Among them are contemporary greats such as Paul Roberts, Robin Hurt and Buzz Charlton, whose names are synonymous with ethical hunting and mastery in the field. Alongside them, two men whose stories have inspired generations of adventurers are also celebrated: ‘Jungle’ Jim Corbett, the famed hunter-naturalist of India’s Himalayan foothills, and Denys Finch Hatton, the quintessential English gentleman of East Africa who is immortalised in the annals of safari lore.

From the Jungle Jim 436 Safari Jacket and Paul Roberts 10-Yard Vest to the Robin Hurt Backup Jacket, every garment embodies the spirit of those who lived for the wild places. Made from durable natural fabrics including heavy-duty cottons, buffalo leather and Merino wool, each piece is designed to perform where it matters most – in the heat, dust and unpredictability of the field – and look cool in the photographs too. Subtle design details evoke Rigby’s timeless aesthetic, while modern tailoring ensures supreme comfort and versatility.

Every item carries a Rigby Story Label, a mark of authenticity and connection. These woven labels in Rigby’s signature blue with gold thread, recount the tale behind each piece, sharing the lives and exploits of the figures whose names they bear. Men who exemplified courage, curiosity and respect for the natural world.

Marc Newton, Managing Director of John Rigby & Co., commented:

“The Legends Collection has been created to honour the men whose lives helped define Rigby’s heritage. For 250 years, our rifles have accompanied explorers, hunters and naturalists across the globe. Their stories are woven into our history, and this collection captures that enduring spirit in a new form. Each garment has been designed with the same care and purpose as a Rigby rifle: to serve faithfully in the field, to age gracefully and to remind its owner of a lineage of adventure that continues today. From the African bush to the Scottish Highlands and every wild place in between, this is clothing made for those who live their own stories of adventure.”

The Rigby Legends Collection is now available through the Rigby Shikar Store, inviting a new generation of explorers to carry forward the legacy of those who came before: fit for purpose, and forever in pursuit of adventure.

Love the collection series and trying to buy the 10 yard vest by Paul Roberts in 3x given they always run small for US. The site says instock yet it will not let me add to cart. Help please. Thanks!!!

Thank you for your interest! There is apparently a glitch in the website that IT is working on correcting. Sorry for the inconvenience.

@rarebreed It should be working now. Please let me know if you continue to have any issues. Sorry again for the hassle.

I don't think the website is working. I went on there looking to buy my very own pair of Buzz Charlton Rigby Legends Collection Crocs, but I don't see any on there. Hopefully you all can get this sorted out soon.

Is there a sizing chart. What size belt is a Large or Medium. Is a large 34” or 64” Scant details on the website.

I’ve spoken with the sales manager, and they are drafting a size conversion chart for easy reference by those who are not familiar with UK sizing. I also encourage them to including the size ranges for the belts.

Will you be bringing some of it to DSC?

Very cool!

I've got to buy a bigger home this year, since I've started working from a cramped home office, but afterwards, a Rigby is on my bucket list. I've never been to DSC, but maybe I should make the trip to come see you all!

Fantastic - the new gear is very well designed!

I believe that they are made in different places, but if there’s a certain piece you’re interested in I would be happy to check for you?

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
