New double coming out but not what you think

Feels about like a double barrel .410 with 16” barrels.
The rail is kinda goofy. Since it seems that almost all the younger generations only know how to mount optics on a rail it serves it purpose.
Should be kinda cool with a red dot on it.

It is the Pedersoli 44 Mag double rifle.
Dealer cost is about $2000 should sell for $2200 to $2400 depending on the gun store.
The Howda pistol in a 44 mag might be intresting.

My mistake.

I got lost in reading the threads to the OP. I thought the photo and thread was listed as a double 410.

I really need to go back to watching Pedersoli's website!

A .44 mag double flintlock? OOohhh...I'm so interested in finding out more about this pistol.

I missed out on a awesome british 405 win double 4 years ago was a cased rifle super fancy for 3600 .Yes the 375 win wouid be super cool in a small double .
No offense but that's what the old folks used to call "where two fools met--him for offering too cheap and you for refusing."

Howda, or maybe a shoulder stock for a 44 mag pistol....

There is a winchester model 21 sxs i think 20 ga and other barrels are 375 win thats one of my favorite calibers along with 405 win for a small double .I wonder if you could bore out a 44 mag into a 444 marlin super charge it .My Kodiak .50 sxs is made totally awesome fun to shoot after i put double adjustable sites .It had a single site couldnt hit with it put the double ajustable sites and its deadly accurate 75 to 100 yards .I hope this double 44 is 6 pounds or less .
Yeah, a .444 Marlin sxs or o/u would be cool.

Was gearing up to out a deposit down as well to treat myself for closing a big deal (sales guy I am), the hardware shortage screwed me so I guess ill continuing dreaming of a double rifle

Sorry guys, but I just don't get this at all... a double rifle in .44 Mag???

A .45/70 I get, a .444 I get - but .44 Mag???

I just can't think of a situation that calls for a double rifle, but in .44 Mag...

But I'm in the minority it seems!
So for everyone buying one, I hope you have heaps of fun with it, and it gives you many years of enjoyment (y)

Ill bite =) Double rifle good for almost everything in north america to 150 yards (conservstive) if loaded properly (been playing with balistic calcs). Cheap, low recoil. Good trainer for those of us dreaming of a proper double. I carry a 44 mag in the woods so having a 1 caliber 2 gun option. Eventually finding a competent gun smith to bore it to 444 marlin. Must I go on

You can go on for as long or short as you want, I'm not fussed either way...
What I said is I don't personally get it - but if you do, and you want one go for it and have fun.

Why only .44 Magnum instead of .444 Marlin or otherwise more powerful cartridges? Perhaps it is only marketing of a double rifle in a popular cartridge? Or perhaps it is due to the strength of the action and various cartridges' Bolt Thrust.

Here as simple as it gets explantion of bolt thrust.

I do not know if the Pedersoli action is strong enough to safely market (sell) in more powerful cartridges, i.e. those that produce higher levels of bolt thrust. If the action is indeed strong enough for more powerful cartridges, then perhaps after teh market is saturated with these rifles in .44 Magnum, Pedersoli might offer something more powerful, perhaps.

Nevertheless, a .44 Magnum double rifle would be a fun little rifle to shoot and hunt whitetails within reasonable ranges.

Fbolt is bolt thrust.
The table below lists bolt thrust produced of various cartridges.
The .44 Magnum produces 29,069 Fbolt, while the .303 British produces 35,352.

The excerpt didn't provide the Fbolt for a .444 Marlin but.
  • 444 Marlin produces 51,500 max chamber pressure in psi
  • 44 Magnum produces 40,600 psi
Simple math reveals the Fbolt of a .444 Marlin would be 44,794.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
