For sale a great condition Winchester Safari Express in 416 Rem built in New Haven in 2001. The rifle has excellent fit and finish with extremely smooth action and (factory) ported barrel. The rifle has been hunted showing typical signs of use.

The scope is a West German Schmidt & Bender 30MM 1.25-4×30MM Straight Tube scope. It has a duplex reticle,10.5” long and weighs 15 oz. The scope shows the signs field use, is in perfect working order, the glass is perfect and bright bright. Original lens caps included. This scope is built like a tank.

Only deficiency of note (reflected in the price) is an almost unidentifiable hairline drying crack just in front of the trigger. Two separate gunsmith have inspected it and concluded it was easily resolved.

Was planning to take this on the next hunt but decided to double down on Blaser. A great DG rifle and scope. $3000 shipped to your FFL COUNS.

Great do-all DG rifle for Africa.
Regarding the barrel porting. Are you saying you had the porting done on the factory barrel or the factory did the porting?

I contacted Winchester and they said it would have come from the factory with the porting. I was worried about it at first but I didn’t notice any additional muzzle blast.

Really Nice! If I didn't have a 416..... GLWS

eish
this is a nice gun
wish i was in USA would snap it up
put a red dot reflex sight on here and BAM....what a rifle

Probably the best looking big bore M70 I have ever seen.

Glad someone snapped it up. I really like mine.

So far mine has been shot at game three times and each time resulted in a very quick one shot kill.

I think it’s probably one of the very best choices for dangerous game for a client.

It also works great on plains game as well.

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
