I purchased the rifle second hand chambered in 270 Win. I had PacNor rebarrel (custom contour) with a 24.5” tube with a long throat for 160-175 gr projectiles, I’ll have to look up the twist rate. Then it was sent to Dennis Olson for NECG sights and swivel barrel band, and rust bluing. The stock I’m certain is English walnut though I don’t know who the original stocker was. I had stock maker Bruce Farman fit the new barreled action to the existing stock and add weight to the forend. Both individuals did a fantastic job.

I know awesome gets used a lot but, in this case it is very appropriate. That rifle is Awesome! Congratulations!

VZ33 - a classic action... for a classic cartridge. Very nice.

I could never hunt with artwork like that but I could hold and just look at it all day!
@Flewis
Why???? It was made to hunt not hide in a safe. That would be a crying shame.
A bit like owning Bentley to keep in the garage while you dive a Chevy nova. No point.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
